It is aimed to educate assisted surgical health personnel who are required
in the surgical procedures which are significant branch of medical services
and which are required in the direction of scientific and technological
developments by the Operating Room Services Program. This program has been
developed in order to train all the surgical materials used in the
operating room services and to be used during the surgery and to be able to
provide support to the surgeon during surgery, which can take place
directly in all surgical teams. The duration of the program is four
semesters (including the internship period). Associate Degree Program in
Operating Services (Bologna Process in Higher Education Qualifications
Framework, Level 5 in TYYC) is a profession-oriented program.
Quotas:
The training language of the Operating Room Services Associate Degree
Program is in Turkish. Formal education is provided. There is an English
preparatory class depending on demand. The quota of the program is 40
people fort he Formel Education and 40 people for the Secondary Education.
Admission and Registration Requirements:
Graduates from General High School can apply with TYT score type. Foreign
students are admitted to the program as a result of their assessment of
direct applications to the university.
Graduate Degree:
Operating Services Program provides education at associate degree level.
Those students who have successfully completed the program will be entitled
to obtain the Associate Degree in "Operating Services" and to be an
operating technician.
Working Areas:
Students who have graduated from the Operating Room Services Program can
serve as operating technicians in organizations that provide all surgical
and healthcare services, primarily public and private, in line with the
qualifications they have gained.
Undergraduate Departments with DGS:
Horizontal and vertical transition is made in accordance with the relevant
legislation of YÖK. Those who successfully complete this associate degree
program can be placed in the below mentioned Bachelor Programs if they are
successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam opened by OSYM.
