The primary purpose of graduate education is to help students develop their knowledge and skills within a specific area of academic study. However, it should also encourage students to actively engage with the wider professional and commercial applications of their work and become innovative thinkers within their chosen field. For this reason, graduate education is not only of importance for those students that wish to pursue an academic career but is also of relevance for those who wish to enter either the private or public sectors. Our main goal here at the İstanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University Institute of Social Sciences is to offer interdisciplinary programs that train students to produce ground-breaking work within their area of specialization that evaluates world economic and social developments from a scientific point of view. To this end, we offer both standard doctoral programs and master’s degree courses with either thesis or non-thesis options.
