Program Descriptions
The language of the Physical Education and Sports (BESE) Thesis Master's Program is "Turkish". This thesis master's program allows students to get to know scientific research methods, access information using these methods, compile information, gain the ability to interpret and evaluate it.
Graduates of this program can participate in field and laboratory studies in physical education and sports-related fields with the knowledge they have gained, take part as researchers in national and international projects related to physical education and sports, and work with a research team.
This thesis master's program is 4 semesters. The first two semesters will offer theoretical courses, laboratories and practical courses to students. The last two semesters will be the stage of completing and writing the thesis study.
Those who want to pursue an academic career in these fields must have at least 4 years of undergraduate education. Candidates who have received a 4-year undergraduate education in any of the physical education and sports fields can start their education and training directly when they are successful in the entrance exam, while those who have received a 4-year education in other fields can start their education by taking the Scientific Preparatory Education. The scientific preparation courses to be taken are determined by the recommendation of the Department and the approval of the Institute according to the type of school graduated from.
Those who are eligible to register to the Department and become students become Institute students. They apply to the Institute Student Affairs Office for registration and other procedures.
Physical Infrastructure of the Department
Environment to be used during graduate education: In the Department (BESE) laboratory, there is one treadmill (Cosmos) and one ergometric bicycle (Monark) where performance tests can be performed. We have a device (Tanita) that can analyze body composition via bioelectrical impedance. In addition, the Anatomy and Physiology laboratories of our Faculty of Medicine and the Physical Therapy laboratories of our Faculty of Health Sciences can be used due to the protocol.
