We were the guests of Ümit Besen's Clip Shooting

The first year students of the Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, TV and Cinema taught the “Visual Language” course at the Beykoz Shoe Factory. Students had the chance to watch the music video of the famous artist Ümit Besen closely.

The trip organized under the coordination of Lecturer Damla Demircioğlu; and Beykoz Shoe Factory, which is the most important film set in Istanbul, was visited. Here, the students both toured the movie set and had the chance to apply the theoretical knowledge they gained in lessons in practice by taking part in the set.

On the other hand, the students, who had the opportunity to learn about professional film equipment and observe them closely, had a pleasant conversation with master director Kemal Başbuğ and singer Ümit Besen.

‘2 Documentary 2 Director 2 Lives’ Seminar held

Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema organized a seminar titled "2 Documentaries, 2 Directors and 2 Lives". During the event, documentary films of Elmas Arus and Züleyhan Beşli were played.

Faculty of Communication Dean Prof. Aysel Aziz, faculty members and students attended.

At the seminar, firstly, the documentary titled “Bizden Biri” by Züleyhan Beşli, a 4th grade studnet of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, telling the life story of Sami Sefer Coşkun, and then the documentary “Buçuk” by Elmas Arus was shown.

The producers of the documentaries watched with great admiration and "Certificate of Appreciation" was presented by Prof. Aysel Aziz and Prof. Dursun Gökdağ.

"Kerata" Film Will Compete in the Festival

The film shot by Kasım ÖRDEK, one of the graduates of Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, 2016-2017 Education-Teaching term, became a finalist at the 14th Akbank Short Film Festival, to which 1342 short films from 65 countries applied.

The project consultancy is Dr. Lecturer Remziye Köse Özelçi The film named "Kerata" by its member will compete with other films as the "Best Film" in the National category at the 14th Akbank Short Film Festival, which will be held between 19-29 March 2018.

Following the 14th Akbank Short Film Festival, the productions to be selected, within the scope of the "Awarded Films in Universities" event; Turkey 'will be released on university campuses in various regions.

We Participated in the International Street Culture Photo Contest

The short films named "Yatılı" by the students of the Radio, Television and Cinema Department are in the final!

The short films named "Yatılı" by Hüsamettin İSTENCİ and Mehmet KIRKBEŞ, students of Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema were screened at the 4th International Antakya Film Festival Short Film Selection.

Our students participated in the festival organized by the Ansam Culture Association and Fotofilm Art Center with the short film "Yatılı". The film, directed by Hüsamettin İSTENCİ and Deputy Director by Mehmet KIRKBEŞ, is about the story of Hakkı who came to Istanbul from Yozgat. The film will meet with moviegoers at the Antakya International Film Festival between 23-29 November.
