Welcome to Yeni Yüzyıl University’s Faculty Of Sciences And Literature! At present we have five departments: Molecular Biology and Genetics, Psychology, Translation and Interpretation, English Language and Literature, Turkish Language and Literature. In these departments we aim at training students to become qualified professionals as well as sensible and reasonable individuals. We hope that Benjamin Franklin’s famous quote “Tell me and I forget; teach me and I remember; involve me and I learn” eloquently summarizes our approach to education.

Based on ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) and NQF-HE (National Qualification Framework for Higher Education), our curricula foster internationality and interdisciplinarity enabling our students to follow their academic and professional goals both at home and abroad. Our committed academic staff encourages our students to get involved in innovative research projects to be sponsored by TUBITAK. Our life sciences research laboratories provide the necessary facilities for the research projects. Along these lines we offer minor and major programmes for successful students to realize their dreams. Our Erasmus+ mobility agreements offer further possibilities for those who wish to gain international academic experience.

With our graduate programmes, PhD and MA in English Language and Literature, we aim to equip the candidates with intellectual perspectives and scholarly skills and open avenues for them to pursue career in academia, as well as to seek employment in ministries, the media and private sector. By integrating translation and interpretation module in our graduate programmes we aim to promote interdisciplinarity and enrich the perspectives in academic studies.
